Psychopharmacology and Emotion Research Laboratory

We are based in the Department of Psychiatry in the University of Oxford at the Warneford Hospital. We are running a number of studies in both healthy volunteers and people feeling low in mood, which explore how the brain processes emotional information. In particular, we're interested in studying how different factors such as brain chemicals, medicines and psychological treatments affect how we process emotions. This helps us to understand disorders such as depression and anxiety and to understand and contribute to the development of drug and psychological treatments.

If you are interested in taking part in any of our studies e-mail us: perl@psych.ox.ac.uk

Click on one of the links below to find out more about the studies which we are actively recruiting volunteers for. If you would like further information on any of the studies, in confidence and with no obligation to take part, please call or email us. All studies reimburse for time and expenses and are based at the Warneford Hospital, unless stated otherwise.
